Fresh Copper October 13, 2011

Just finished these three pair of earrings for an event tomorrow night.  All started as ordinary hardware store copper washers.  Pressed, stamped (thanks again, Chris), oxidized, buffed to a high shine, and embellished with freshwater pearls, glass, and abalone chunks.  Love any kind of blue with this copper finish.  All have handcrafted sterling ear wires.  They’re ready for the party!

WOW How beautiful. I too have been doing alot with the copper washers and the results have been good and FUN. I havent worked much with the pearls but yours are wonderful.

Im sure your event will be great. Good Luck

    • Hi, Jerri, That was a fast response. I just posted it. I had a box of 110 washers and I’m almost out. Can’t believe how much fun I’ve had with them. Have you tried to heat patina them with a butane torch yet? Just gorgeous colors appear. Thanks for posting a comment.
