This Friday is my local library’s jewelry workshop. Last time I asked some of them what they’d like to learn how to do. ” Wrap briolettes” they said.   Oh, boy.

This is not my favorite thing to do, but I’m hoping that this “messy” wrap style is more forgiving that a straight wrapped brio. For these earrings, I used a thinner gauge copper wire, probably 22-24. The first layer is a straight laid down wrap, then lots of messiness over the top. Oxidized in liver of sulphur, a good scrubbing with 0000 steel wool, and a polish.  The brios are large faceted glass beads in a beautiful teal-green color. The earrings are 1 1/4 inches in length.
