About a week ago, I posted a photo of some beautiful handmade lamp work beads that I won in a blog give away. They have been sitting out in a small dish on my worktable awaiting inspiration. I finally decided to take them for a little outing to the local bead shop. After my happy wandering, here’s what I’ve added to the mix…some sage and eggplant colored freshwater pearls, two shades of purple Swarovski crystals, and some brass chain. And a length of sage grosgrain ribbon that adorned the little gift box that the beads arrived in. So, I’m not sure if all these goodies will make it into the final piece, but I happy with the direction it’s going. A major consideration is to not overwhelm the lamp work beads, but showcase them by the additional materials selected. Edit, edit, edit…
