It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood… April 18, 2012

The South Park neighborhood, that is.  Located just blocks from downtown San Diego, with its skyscrapers and traffic, South Park has a distinct small town feel with its historic craftsman homes, tree-lined streets, and vibrant business community…all independent, many who support handmade work.

Which brings me to some very good news.  Fresh Baked Designs can now be found at Studio Maureen in South Park.  Maureen has been in business there for 25 years and not only values handmade, but supports local artists. Her shop is loaded with wonderful metal work, pottery, jewelry, other crafts, and fine art.

Studio Maureen has been located here since 1986.

I’m grateful for this new opportunity to have my work offered in this community.  If you are in the South Park neighborhood, stop by and see the goodies she has on hand. The store is located at 2963 Beech Street, next door to Grant’s Market Place and catty-corner from the well-known Alchemy Restaurant.  And do stop at my favorite local food truck, Mariscos German, in the Gala Foods parking lot, at Fern and Grape. Two of their awesome $1.50 fish tacos make a meal!
