Home again…

There’s much to be said for getting away every once in a while.  A change of scenery and view point.

Two weeks was just the right amount of time for a car trip.  Makes one appreciate their own bed, don’t you know.

Some new pieces ready for sale this fall. You can see that I’m really in love with this heavier double link brass chain, too.

I also took off some chain links to make the large jump rings I needed for the old coin.  Perfect!

Love these carved burgundy colored stone beads. I’ve had them forever, but didn’t quite know what to do with them.

Would love to know what they are?

If you know, please, please, let me know!

More Krobo recycled glass beads from Ghana.  Looking forward to purchasing some more when we return there in October.

And I did make nine more of these popular bracelets to sell to help raise money for the school supplies we’ll be purchasing

for the primary and junior secondary schools in the village of Kasei.

Those bracelets are so pretty and cheerful! Lovely necklaces, too.

I so love the first necklace with the coin—what did you use to patina it? And I really like that double-link chain—where did you get it? Your designs are so down-to-earth and wearable—just beautiful!

    • Hi, Lynn. Thanks for the compliments and questions and I’m happy to answer. The old Chinese coin came with the beautiful patina. I purchased a handful of them at Lost Cities, a local bead shop here in San Diego. The brass chain is from that Capital M craft store…Michaels, of course. Gotta love those weekly coupons.

I absolutely love the necklace and bracelets!! Are there any left? They are stunning. 🙂

    • Hi, Cindy, so nice to hear from you! Both of these necklaces are in a shop, but I do have a new one with the Krobo beads. And there are two bracelets left. I am seriously going to try and get more beads on this next trip if time permits.
