Adventures in jewelry making

Winner! Winner! April 8, 2013

Filed under: Archives — Fresh Baked Designs @ 12:00 pm

Thanks to all of you dear folks that helped get the word out

about my new adventure in Etsyland.

I’m thrilled to report that there are 3 sales.

And that these purchases were all from the Pure Water Designs line,

that support the non-profit charity, Amor Ministries.

We just return last night (that’s why this announcement is a tad late)

from a four-day house build in Tijuana.

How exciting to turn over the keys to a new four room house

to the Cardenas Faria family!

And to know that they also received a water purification system that will serve them for life!

And I’m please to announce that the random number generator chose number 12…Kashmira!

Kashmira, do please email me (

with your full name and address and your prize will be on its way.

Thanks again, everyone! I was so touched by your words of encouragement.

    Thank you! Thank you!
I LOVE that focal 🙂 I promise to do you proud with what I make with it 🙂
Congratulations on those sales and all the very very best for the future!

I would like to know more about the house-building!

    • I’m happy to share about the good work being done for over 25 years by Amor Ministries in the poorest neighborhoods of Tijuana, and more recently the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona, and South Africa. I have been on many builds in Mexico and it’s always rewarding. Our adults and youth have been going for more than 15 years, usually finishing a simple two room house (sometimes a double-4 room for a large family) in 3-4 days. We camp in a safe, secure area. They also have family camps where individual families can join a group to build a home…no skills required. To see more about this non-profit’s programs, visit
      Thanks for asking, Kashmira!

        That does sound very rewarding!

I have been donating all the proceeds from my jewelry sales to a charity for kids in India. But i still have not had the guts to actually go and contribute the way you did here! Hopefully…some day!

      • I did check out your shop Sudafulee and jumped over to read more about Project Why. Kudos for your support of their work with the poorest children in India.
